Board Member and Committee Chair positions are elected for two-year terms. Committee positions are opened as needed.

The San Diego Black Nurses Association (SDBNA) is a dynamic and impactful organization committed to promoting excellence in nursing, advancing health equity, and uplifting the Black community through service, advocacy, and education. As a chapter of the National Black Nurses Association (NBNA), SDBNA provides a vital platform for Black nurses in San Diego to connect, lead, and inspire.

SDBNA is deeply rooted in community engagement, offering health education, free screenings, and wellness outreach to underserved populations across the region. The organization actively supports the next generation of nurses through scholarships, mentorship, and academic enrichment programs, empowering students to thrive in nursing education and beyond.
