Benefits of Joining

There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. Our members support each other professionally and also often become close friends.

Who can Join ?

We invite anybody interested in the issues and topics we focus our efforts on to join. Members must be able to dedicate enough time to participated and make a difference in the organization. To join SDBNA, you must be at least one of the following:

  • Employed Nurse
  • Retired Nurse
  • Student enrolled in nursing program

How Can You Join?

The San Diego Black Nurses Association is supported by membership dues, donation and proceeds from fundraising activities. Scholarships are available to qualifying Africa American basic and graduate nursing students. To join submit the completed application and membership dues for the first year. MEMBERSHIP DUES

Active Registered and licensed vocational nurses with current license and employed
$180 (mandatory national dues included).
Associate Limited to nurses who are retired from active practice or who have medical disabilities
$105
(mandatory national dues included).
Student Limited to students enrolled in a nursing program and have not yet been licensed
$60
(mandatory national dues included).
