San Diego Black Nurses Association, Inc. founded in 1976, is a premier provider of health education and health promotion in the San Diego community. As a community leader, our focus includes providing services to the disproportionate number of Southeastern San Diego County residents affected by high rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and other health issues.
San Diego Black Nurses Association, Inc. collaborates with other community organizations to make measurable and sustainable improvements in the health status of the underserved of our community. These organizations, along with many others, include Live Well San Diego, Community Health Improvement Partners, AARP San Diego Metro Chapter, San Diego Immunization Coalition, San Diego Human and Health Services Agency and most of the local hospitals. There were more than fifty (50) vendors at our Second Annual Health Expo. In addition, our organization collaborates with both the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego as well as the San Diego National Association of Hispanic Nurses.
Our joint efforts support the common cause of improving the health and quality of life of both children and adults residing in our community.
